Carmel Polytechnic College, Alappuzha — a CMI educational institution — was established in 1954 with a vision to provide quality technical education to the youth of Kerala. Rooted in the values of Sapientia et Labor (Wisdom and Labour), the institution has grown to become one of the most respected polytechnic colleges in the state.

Over seven decades, Carmel has produced thousands of skilled engineers, entrepreneurs, and leaders who have made their mark across India and the world. The Alumni Association was formally constituted to maintain and strengthen this bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood among graduates.
